Raj Pyne, MD
Dr. Devaraj Pyne is a board-certified interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive procedures. His main clinical interests and expertise involve treating varicose veins and CVI. He also has extensive experience with interventional oncology, which involves focused minimally invasive cancer treatments, especially with chemoembolization and CT-guided tumor ablation. His other medical interests include balloon kyphoplasty and arteriovenous malformation embolization, as well as uterine fibroid embolization—for which he recently co-authored an article in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology entitled “Uterine Artery Embolization in the Treatment of Postpartum Uterine Hemorrhage.” Dr. Pyne has received an award for teaching by the radiology residents.
Dr. Pyne lives in Pittsford with his wife, Dr. Sonia Pyne, who is an anesthesiologist and Chief of Anesthesiology at Sawgrass, the University of Rochester Medical Center’s ambulatory surgicenter. They are the proud parents of two sons. Dr. Pyne is a diehard New York Knicks and New York Giants fan.
