Assistant Medical Director
Dr. Mike Rivero is a board certified interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive procedures. After completing his residency here at Rochester General Hospital, he finished his fellowship at University of Rochester Medical Center. His main clinical interests and expertise involve treating varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency, TIPS, balloon kyphoplasty, and uterine fibroid embolization. He is also experienced in women’s imaging and procedures, a rare feat given the demands of both subspecialties. He is also a favorite of the residents given his knack for teaching and lecturing.
Dr. Rivero lives with his wife Robin and their five children in Rochester. He is an avid sports fan and regularly attends Buffalo Bills games.
